Valrico, Florida
Flower bar rental in Valrico
Big lots, big back yards, and a lot of graduation parties in May and June.
Working in Valrico
Valrico parties tend to be at home and outdoors, which means the first thing we talk about is shade. A tent, a lanai or a spot under an oak changes what we can put in the buckets — and we would always rather run the bar at six in the evening than two in the afternoon.
Almost everything we do in Valrico is at a house, and the good news is the houses have room. A wide lanai or a covered patio is close to the ideal flower bar location: shade overhead, a hose within reach, and a hard floor we can sweep clippings off.

What we have learned here
Three things worth knowing about Valrico events
When Valrico books
May and June are Valrico's season, and they are graduation parties almost without exception. Those book six to eight weeks out because every family in the neighbourhood is holding one on the same three weekends.
Colours that work here
Graduation parties come with school colours, and school colours are usually saturated. We will build to them, but we will also tell you which two of the three will actually photograph well outdoors — navy and dark green disappear in shade, where white and butter carry.
The practical bit
Big lots mean long carries. If the back yard is a hundred feet from the driveway, we would rather know in advance and bring the extra pair of hands than shuttle buckets one at a time in the heat.
Planning an outdoor bar? Our guide to flowers in Florida heat covers which blooms hold and which do not — and how many stems each guest needs will help you size it.
