Accessibility
We want this site to work for everyone. Here's what we've done, and how to tell us when it doesn't.
What we're aiming for
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, a magnifier, or a phone in bright sunlight. We have built it against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we've done
- Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link that moves focus to the main content.
- The menu, the accordions and the photo viewer expose their state to screen readers, trap focus while open, and close on the Escape key.
- Text and interface colours have been measured against the WCAG AA contrast ratios rather than eyeballed.
- Every photograph has descriptive alternative text; decorative marks are hidden from screen readers.
- Animation is reduced automatically if your device is set to prefer reduced motion.
- Text resizes and reflows down to a 320-pixel-wide viewport without loss of content.
- Forms have real labels, tell you which fields are required, and say what is wrong when something is missing.
Known limits
Some photographs come from our Instagram feed and are lower resolution than we would like on very large screens. Any third-party booking form embedded on this site is controlled by that provider, and we will replace it if it proves inaccessible. We test with keyboard, zoom and a screen reader, but we have not had an independent audit; if you find something we have missed, we would genuinely like to hear about it.
If something doesn't work
Tell us and we will fix it. Call or text (813) 325-5129, or message @amorwildflowerco on Instagram. Describe the page and what happened; you do not need to know the technical reason. We aim to respond within three business days.
