Everything you'd reasonably want to know

We arrive about an hour before your guests and set up a styled bar: buckets of conditioned stems grouped by colour and type, a cutting station, and a wrapping table with kraft paper, ribbon and twine. Guests walk up, choose the stems they like, trim them to length, wrap the bouquet and take it home. It takes two or three minutes each and needs no skill at all — the signage explains it, and one of us is usually right there.

The Petal Package (flower bar) starts at $150 and the Blossom Package (our signature flower stand) at $250. Both include delivery, setup, breakdown and pickup. From there you can add fresh flowers, priced by guest count, and an on-site attendant at $50 an hour with a two-hour minimum. A $50 deposit reserves your date and comes off the total.

The Petal Package at $150 is our flower bar. The Blossom Package at $250 is our signature flower stand — the statement piece in most of our photographs. Everything else is the same: wrapping paper, ribbons, supplies, delivery, setup, breakdown and pickup. Fresh flowers and an on-site attendant are optional add-ons on either one.

Both packages include the rental itself, bouquet wrapping paper, ribbons and all the bouquet-making supplies, delivery and setup, and breakdown and pickup after your event. You never need to supply a table, buckets, snips or ribbon. The only thing you choose is the flowers: bring your own, or add our fresh flower package and we'll handle them.

Work on five to seven stems per guest, and add about twenty percent on top so the last guest has as much choice as the first. Aim for four to six varieties: a couple of focal blooms, one or two accents, and greenery. No minimum. The rental price is the same whatever your headcount; the guest count only changes how many flowers you need. If you're adding our fresh flower package, the estimate on the packages page shows you what that comes to.

Our fresh flower add-on works on roughly five to seven stems per guest, which makes a proper hand-tied bouquet. A good bouquet is about a quarter focal blooms, a third supporting flowers and the rest filler and greenery, so even six stems reads as full. If you're buying your own, that's the number to aim for.

Yes. If you're adding our fresh flowers, send us the invitation, a Pinterest board or just three colours and we'll build around them — with the caveat every florist shares: we can promise a palette, not a specific variety, and we substitute like for like if something isn't good at market that week. If you're supplying your own flowers, you choose them and we style the bar around whatever you bring.

About 6 ft by 8 ft of clear floor for a table setup, and a couple of feet more if we bring the cart. If you can, give us a spot guests can approach from two sides — it roughly doubles how many people the bar serves at once. We also need water within reach and a door we can carry buckets through.

We're based in Tampa and cover the Tampa Bay area — Hillsborough and Pinellas mainly, with Pasco and Polk by arrangement. Delivery inside our core area is built into the package; further out we add a straightforward mileage fee and tell you the number up front, before you book.

Four to six weeks is comfortable. Eight to twelve is better for wedding season, holiday weekends and anything in the week of Valentine's or Mother's Day, when the flower market is at its tightest. We can sometimes take a booking with two weeks' notice, with a shorter list of varieties. It never hurts to ask — if we can't do it we'll tell you straight away.

Delivery, setup, breakdown and pickup are always us. In between, the bar runs itself — the instruction sign walks guests through it. If you'd rather have help on the day, add an on-site floral attendant: $50 an hour with a two-hour minimum. They help guests choose and arrange their flowers, assist with the wrapping and ribbons, and keep the bar neat and stocked.

Yes, with a plan. Heat is the real enemy — flowers held cool and then dropped into a 90-degree afternoon go into shock and bruise. So we shade or tent the bar, use opaque buckets so the water doesn't heat through, mist and top up through the event, and we'll steer the palette towards stems that hold: roses, carnations, alstroemeria, lisianthus, sunflowers, orchids and structured greenery. Hydrangeas, tulips, peonies and dahlias are indoor-and-shade flowers here between June and September. We'd also rather run the bar early in the event than at three in the afternoon.

They're yours. We bundle whatever is left into wrapped bunches for you to keep or hand out. What we never do is leave a pile of stems for the venue to deal with — every clipping goes out with us.

A $50 nonrefundable deposit reserves your date, and the balance is due five days before the event. Rentals cancelled at least 48 hours ahead are refunded in full apart from that deposit; inside 48 hours they're nonrefundable. Fresh flowers are ordered for you specifically, so once the order is placed with our supplier the floral add-on is nonrefundable. All cancellations need to be in writing.

Completely. Stems are pre-trimmed and de-thorned before we set up, the signage walks people through it in three steps, and there is no wrong way to build a bouquet. Children love it — we keep the snips at a supervised end of the bar and hand younger builders stems that are already the right length.

Bouquets are hand-tied and wrapped rather than vased, which is what makes them easy to carry home. Bud vases and jars are available as an add-on if you'd rather guests take an arrangement, and canvas totes are a popular middle ground — they keep a wet wrap off a good dress.

Five to eight days for most of what we use, if guests trim an inch off the stems and change the water every couple of days. Our care card goes home with every bouquet. In summer, remind guests to get them out of a hot car — twenty minutes in a Florida parking lot undoes a lot of careful conditioning.

Water, yes — it matters more than anything else on the day, because stems have to rehydrate after transit and buckets need topping up. Power is optional; we'll ask if the layout needs a cord for lighting or a fan.
